Guardians Trade: This is most certainly a brain on drugs.

At this point, I think you're trolling us. That Guardians/ Yankees trade is awful.
There's no possible way you think Cleveland would do that.

The Castillo portion of this posting is Dead in the water. Start with BOTH Jasson AND Gleyber. Higashi is redundant. Deivi is a tiny little guy. Gil is nothing special. Perez and Vizcaino are too far away to matter. This is just a bad deal. A Reds' star for Yankee garbage. won't make it.
The Hader deal is pretty good.
Yadi will probably retire before moving to another team. READ: He'll resign with the Red Birds.

Yankees Extension Candidates
The Yankees have a lot of players that could be extension candidates before Spring Training rolls around. Not saying all or any of these happen but here is what I think some extensions might look like if they were to happen.
James Paxton- 4 years $80 million
Masahiro Tanaka- 3 years $45 million
D.J. LeMahieu- 3 years $60 million
Aaron Judge- 8 years $240 million
Gary Sanchez- 5 years $100 million
Gleyber Torres- 10 years $250 million
1.) 05 Feb 2020 23:17:33
I can see the possibilities of these extensions but I think they will be more inclined to extend Judge, Torres, and Sanchez over Tanaka (injury prone) Paxton (injury prone) and LaMahieu (possible decline)

Jay Bruce and Ian Kinsler shouldn't even be discussed when it comes to top 10. That alone makes this awful, but the fact that you missed so many great players shows you don't really follow baseball

And now I just read an article linking Hader to the Yankees. So now all three of these players have officially been linked to the Yankees in some capacity. I’m not just pulling it out of nowhere. It gets talked about on sports sights and I try to predict what I think a fair deal might look like. I’m not just saying they’re going to get every good player available.
03 Dec 2019 13:42:05
I go for fits. Not just big names. Which is why I don’t have them going for Bryant or Betts. They have been linked to Lindor to fill the hole left by Didi. Hicks is out for a big chunk of the year and Gardner can’t be counted on to repeat his production at age 36 especially if the scale back the baseball juicing. Marte makes sense as a one year rental to provide some speed and on base skills to the lineup and plays a great CF. As for Hader, that one may be more far fetched but the Yankees seem to add a major bullpen piece every offseason now out of nowhere and he is young and under control so he provides some insurance when Kahnle is a free agent after this year and if Betances doesn’t come back the same.
08 Nov 2019 11:57:32
When is the last time a player like Lindor has been available on the trade market at his age? They need something to put them over the top of the Astros in the American League. A 16 year old isn’t helping them win the World Series this year. I’m all for a strong farm system. That’s how they have the majority of their team. But they have so many positions held down cheaply with really good players because of it that it is time to cash in what they have left in the system and make a move to put them over the top. They built this team to win a World Series, not just come close every year.
16 Oct 2019 02:27:50
That’s all you got to say? What else are they going to do with him? He hasn’t played in two years. And if you remember I used to suggest trades for him exchanging salary dumps but obviously that’s no longer an option so what else is there? He’ll never play a game for them again. That’s the least significant part of the post and the only part you commented on because you had to not pick something. What about the rest of it?
23 Mar 2019 04:35:00
You don’t think that’s enough for Bumgarner in a walk year?
16 Oct 2018 08:23:03
I didn’t ask you to repeat what Brian Cashman said. I read the same articles you guys did which was what led me to this post. I disagree with what Brian Cashman and everyone else is saying and wanted to give my own perspective and see what you guys thought. I think Cashman is a brilliant GM and I agree with him the majority of the time but I happen to disagree with him about what to do with Sonny Gray. I know how he feels. I’m asking for your personal opinions not for you to reference an interview with the Yankees GM.
08 Dec 2017 02:36:12
Subtle.
23 Mar 2017 18:35:40
Blue Jays way too high. Losing Encarnacion will hurt. Morales is good but it's just not the same. Encarnacion was a big part of their identity as a team. Estrada and Happ both had career years that chances are they won't be able to duplicate. Tulo can't stay on the field. And Donaldson has missed the majority of Spring Training and will likely start off a little rusty since he's weeks behind everyone. I think the Blue Jays window has closed. I think they will be around .500 this year.
I think the Tigers will be a little better than that. I think they'll be more like 85-77. Verlander has returned to form. Fulmer should continue to improve. Zimmerman will be back healthy. And with that lineup that includes Miggy, V-Mart, J. D. , Upton, Kinsler, and Castellanos who finally came into his own last year. I think they could be dangerous.
Lastly, I think you have the Rockies way too low. I think you should have them and the D'Backs record flip flopped. The Rockies offense is legit with Blackmon, LeMahieu, CarGo, Arenado, Desomond (When he returns), and Dahl. And they finally have some pitching to go with it. Gray is the real deal. Bettis came into his own (hopefully he wins his battle with cancer), Chatwood is becoming more consistent, and they added Holland who is a proven closer hungry to prove he's still got it. They could be a threat for a 2nd wild card depending on how healthy the Cardinals and Mets rotations stay this year.
Aside from that I think it's pretty good.
21 Mar 2017 11:32:40
exposfan, you claim the white Sox received better offers for Quintana in the offseason. I'd love to hear what they were. If that were the case than don't you think they would have done it? From my understanding the Pirates wouldn't include Glasnow, Meadows, or Taillon. The Astros wouldn't include Bregman, Martes, or Tucker. Just like the Yankees won't include Torres, Frazier, Rutherford, or Kaprielian. All for the same reason, Quintana is very very good but he is not an ace. Getting 5 of the Yankees top 10-15 prospects is a pretty nice haul considering they have either the best or second best farm system in the game depending on who you talk to.
14 Mar 2017 14:56:51
exposfan, I don't think Refsnyder is remotely near a top prospect. He is the worst prospect listed here easily. He can't defend at any of his positions and lacks other basic skills as well. However he has shown the ability to hit at every level he's been on so I figured it was a toss up between him and Austin for DH who also doesn't have a true position. This is just my idea of the Yankees All-Prospect Team. I didn't say all of them were elite.
Moral of the Story: Relax.
